Fifty Plus is an active group within FUMC Fox Hill. From September through June, we participate in social, entertainment, and/or educational outings. These gatherings encourage interaction between the members in an informal setting and provide an opportunity for outings in which they may not otherwise be able to participate. Throughout the year, the members of the group also sends cards, make calls, and/or visits to members of the congregation who are not able to participate in regular church activities.
In the past year, an average of about 30 folks enjoyed different types of monthly activities. We have gone to a wide variety of plays, Darden's Country Store, Bacon's Castle, the Great Dismal Swamp, and took a six-day trip to Nashville, TN with stops in Charlotte, NC; Pigeon Forge, TN; and Abingdon and Bedford, VA.
