Open Hearts. Open Minds. Open Doors.
Here at First United Methodist Church Fox Hill, the people are the church. We love God and each other. We care for one another during tough times and share in each other’s joys. We pray for one another as we learn about prayer needs. We have fun as we work together doing the work God has given this church to do; in study groups, on mission projects, and at fellowship events reaching out to the surrounding community. We do this in joyful response to God’s love for each of us.
We welcome newcomers to our church family. The folks at FUMCFH care about you and your well being. Come as you are. We want to get to know you: your joys, your concerns, your prayer requests, your needs, your spiritual gifts. Come and learn what it means to be a part of a loving community devoted to God’s work.
Open for all small groups up to 10 people.
Our Healthy Church Team is watching the news and keeping up to date with the COVID-19 situation in Hampton and across the state. In light of the Governor’s moves towards lowering the rate of COVID-19 transmission, we are continuing the course we are on for a while. Groups under 10 are invited to meet in person as they desire, and we will continue to offer weekly worship online. The rate of transmission has been heading in the wrong direction since Thanksgiving. Just earlier this week, 1 out of 4 people tested for COVID-19 in Hampton were testing positive (25%). In comparison, when we opened in the summer and fall, Hampton was at 6%. Numbers are finally beginning to trend down, however, and we are praying that we can open by Ash Wednesday (February 17). If you want to watch the numbers yourself, the source of our information is here: https://www.vdh.virginia.gov/ coronavirus/key-measures/pandemicmetrics/locality-metrics/ You will need to select Hampton City to get the rate for our area.
