O God, you invite us to feast at your table, and we reject your invitation. You call us to taste your goodness, and we turn away to other gods. You command us to share your bounty with others, and we consume at the expense of our neighbors. For those of us who are hungry, O God, give bread. And for those of us who have bread, give us a hunger for justice and righteousness; through Jesus Christ, the bread of life, we pray. Amen.
