O God, we confess a reluctance to see the world that you have created. We look upon others in judgment and upon ourselves with either arrogance or self-condemnation. We critique the faults of others, even as we avoid the flaws that are within us. Be thou our vision, O Lord. Help us see you more clearly, love you more dearly, and follow you more nearly, day by day, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
