God Came Down - Traditional

Great God Jehovah, from everlasting to everlasting You are God. Israel knew Your acts, but Moses knew Your ways. You came down in splendor and glory and in fire upon Mount Sinai, as the mighty Shofar blast resounded louder and louder, and the earth shook. You revealed Yourself as the covenant-keeping God, and You require us as believers in this New Covenant to hear Your voice and to walk in Your ways. We praise You and bless You for giving us Your Holy Spirit, in order that we may know You. You invite us to come up into the heavenly Mount Zion, and we long to ascend into Your holy mountain. We wait in anticipation for Jesus to return for His own in the power of His resurrection. Maranatha! Even so, come Lord Jesus! Amen.
