Gracious Lord, we confess that being salt for the world is not our preference. We’d prefer to be anonymous, insignificant, bland, or just happily sitting on the side than to be a key ingredient with an important role to play in the world, called to season, flavor, and shape our community. Give us feet to stand on, knees to not buckle, and grace to be who we are called to be, today, and tomorrow, for we pray in Jesus’ name, Amen.
