Jesus, we are like children who will run past their parents to the candy jar instead of asking their parents for candy, because we imagine the candy is better than the relationship. In the same way, we seek salvation without a relationship with you. However, salvation is born in a relationship and results in a relationship – it is not a prize to be sought for its own worth. Free us from small thinking that shrinks our spirits. Enlarge our minds and hearts, in Jesus’ name. Amen
