Father, remembering all thy goodness to us in creation and redemption, we make confession of our sins: We have failed to trust thee as we ought; we have found it hard to pray, and to have a sensitive compassion on others, and we have been content in selfish ways, and we have in hardship and loneliness become possessed by despondent hearts. Help and heal us, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
