Praise Is the Gateway of Joy - Traditional

Lord of all goodness, in you we see the good intended for all of creation, and in ourselves, we often see the misery we inflict on ourselves. We seem intent on making ourselves miserable by comparing our lives, our net worth, our accomplishments, our possessions, salaries, families, or social media presence with those who seem to “have it together.” And yet, we must confess that none of these are what you have asked of us. You do not grade on a curve, but on the cross, by which all can be saved and share in the glory of forgiveness. Help us Lord, today at least, to stop comparing and start praising, we ask in Jesus’ name. Amen
