Joy in Obedience - Traditional

We confess, Lord, that we struggle with the idea of obedience. The world teaches us to follow our own path, to dance to our own drummer, to do what we want. Obedience sounds like sacrificing our joy, and we bristle against it. But what if obedience is living into the fullness for which we were created? Open our minds and hearts so that we might experience joy in obedience, for we ask in Jesus’ name. Amen
