This report briefly addresses finances at FUMC Fox Hill. The latest weekly and year-to-date information is in the weekly bulletin available at the church or through the link on our website.
First Fox Hill has continued to meet all our obligations through May, and we expect to do so for June also. While total giving is down, we have been able to maintain our positive financial status with the support of our faithful givers and lower than anticipated expenditures. We are, however, experiencing some significant maintenance expenses which are exhausting most of our set-aside funds which we need to restore. Thanks to all who are regular in their giving so we can meet our financial obligations.
You may have heard we will soon begin a short-term request to bolster funds already received for our planned August Navajo Partnership event. This four-day experience will bring 4 of the folks who were with us for Vacation Bible School in 2022 here for community bible study, a special youth event, a community worship and revival service, an all-district United Methodist Women gathering, and a Navajo-lead Sunday worship service followed by a potluck lunch. We need to quickly raise about $4,500 to cover unbudgeted expenses associated with these exciting programs.
Statements of giving for the first six months will be out in July. These are not bills, but our way of being certain we are correctly recording your information. Please check the statements promptly upon receipt and let us know if you have any questions.
Don’t forget that the expenses of your church happen all year round and can actually increase in the summer. The electricity bill alone can be over $4,000 a month in the summer. Even if you are traveling, your regular support remains critical. If you would like to give on-line, simply go to our web page www.firstumcfoxhill.org, click on “Give”, and scroll down to the “Give Online” box. Thanks to everyone for being a supporter of First Fox Hill.
