Financial Fundamentals December 2024

This report briefly addresses finances at FUMC Fox Hill. The latest information is in the weekly bulletin available at church or through our web site.

Thanks to some larger yearend donations our 2024 finances are improving. In addition to covering our current operating expenses we are now only 3 months behind on our Apportionments and can see the potential to be up to date by year end – that is certainly our goal.

While November 17 was our Stewardship Sunday, as of this writing, we have not yet tallied all your input. If you have not yet turned in your card, there is still time to do so as you consider how you can support your church with a portion of the blessings you receive throughout the year.

As we approach year end, this is a good time to review your giving status to see that you are where you want to be. Help us start the new year on solid financial ground. Make your potentially tax deductible gifts before yearend whether they are toward this year’s expenses or to the item in the next paragraph.

Elsewhere in the Anchor and in your postal mail you can read about our need for your financial support to replace the roof on our building. I will not repeat the message here except to ask you to please read that item and do all you can do to ensure that we are able to complete the project as soon as possible. Thank you!

Your annual donation statement (which is not a bill) will be mailed during January 2025. Please review it carefully to make certain our numbers match yours and let us know promptly if you find any discrepancies or have any questions. Remember, Required Minimum Distributions from your IRA donated to First Fox Hill will generally provide tax savings by reducing your taxable gross income.
